Diocesan clergy on YouTube

by c wills

The Revs. Judy Parrish (Nelson County Parish) and Marian Windel (Peace-in-the-Valley, Nellysford) can be seen in a new video produced by the Rev. Matthew Moretz, an Episcopal priest and producer of the popular "Father Matthew Presents" videos.

Episcopal priest Matthew Moretz directed the film piece, called "Eucharistia," on behalf of the workshop participants at Shrinemont 2008, a conference for adults among the three Episcopal dioceses in Virginia. Parrish and Windel represented the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia at the conference.

Father Matthew was the keynote speaker at their "Incarnation in a Virtual World" conference. He led a workshop where the team scripted and filmed the webisode.

Among the feedback about the video posted online was this comment from "John1262":

WOW....I loved this video. I loved how the people took in the Body of Christ before going out to address the issues we find in the world (newspaper) around us. We can only change the world after letting Jesus change us. Great Video!!!!

"Father Matthew Presents" is a semi-regular, humorous series on church life and teaching by the curate of Christ's Church in Rye, New York.

Comments:

Haven't had a chance to see the video; however, I have to wonder if Fr. Matthew Moretz and I are kinfolks!! He is welcome to get in touch with me, if he wishes. Blessings, Walter Moretz, M. Div., Ph. D.; Assoc Prof. Psych., Emeritus, George Mason University; Vestry, Trinity, Rocky Mount, VA
